Step On The Sky
I am not a sad person. I believe in a cult of sadness as much as I believe in building a breaking wheel – it’s a thing we do, but should we?
Love is about support. True love is not a selfish thing. True love makes you want to care for someone, help them through as many hurdles as you can help them through, and do your best to see them happy.
Heck, sometimes you’re in love and want to write a happy love song. Enough said about this one.
And yes, “goodbye, blue Monday” and the whole idea of trying to “sell” you a form of magic is Kurt Vonnegut’s Breakfast of Champions, but other than that, Kilgore Trout is not in this at all.
When you lose your step and fall
Feeling dizzy and appalled
You can step on the sky
Let me show you how it is
You’ll see there’s nothing here to fear
Now you step on the sky
Let me offer you my brand of magic
You will never be the same
Goodbye, blue Monday
Goodbye, defeat
Feel the floor as it’s swept down from your feet
Goodbye from me
I won’t act surprised if you miss the point
It is indeed easy to miss
Suffice to say I love you and that’s why
I’ll take my time with you
So you can step on the sky
It’s the least I can do, ooh!
Goodbye, blue Monday
Goodbye, defeat
Feel the floor as it’s swept down from your feet
Goodbye from me, woo!
It’s the least I can do, ah!
Goodbye, blue Monday
Goodbye, defeat
Feel the floor as it’s swept down from your feet
Goodbye from me
Woo!
Goodbye, blue Monday
(Goodbye, blue Monday!)
Goodbye, defeat
(Goodbye, defeat!)
Feel the floor as it’s swept down from your feet
(Feel the floor!)
Goodbye from me
