Dreaming of Roses

It is an immense pride to announce Ruby & Rose's second album, Dreaming of Roses, out now on every streaming platform! Thirteen brand new tracks where rock meets sensibility, identity screams out and looks are deceiving. From the intensity of the opening track Quillbreaker, to the delicateness of closer Lemon Fic Limerick, through the reverence to Brazilian music in Genuine and Brasiliense rock in Float (She Doesn’t Know), Dreaming gathers influences and transforms sound into the maximum expression of an identity. Every sound was fought for, every word carries meaning.

Recorded in Brasília over seven intense months, independently; produced by Ruby & Rose and Gustavo Albuquerque, who also features on keys in part of this album. French singer Ana Ledesma laid backing vocals for Lilac & Lavender and lent her voice to the haunting intro on Genuine. The cover art is by Canadian métis artist Kiley Fediuk, whose delicate, whimsical style captures Ruby & Rose’s sound like few others.

Stay tuned: it doesn't stop here! More to come soon…

Ruby & Rose has been active as a solo artist since 2023, with the release of the full-length LP Ruby & Rose, an experimental journey into rock, pop, and fusion music. Soon after, they released a cover of White Town’s Your Woman, exploring with an electronic edge.

2024 saw the release of the Live At The Bedroom YouTube series, where Ruby & Rose plays live renditions of original songs in the surprising setting where most of the music is recorded. Two EPs were released that year: Make Me A Magic Spell and I Can Keep A Secret Well, which saw Ruby & Rose’s first experiment with music videos.

In 2025, Ruby & Rose started to collaborate with guest musicians for live performances, starting with April 15th’s appearance at the first edition of FestMIMA, a Riacho Fundo cultural and musical festival, celebrating diversity and environmental preservation. The second studio LP, Dreaming of Roses, came out on July 22nd.
